oars counter balance - peter805 - 09-12-2010 I was thinking about adding counter ballances to my oars. Im not sure about spending $70.00 on those. Does anyone know about something better (less $$$) or any ideas of making some? Thank you Peter $70.00[signature] Re: [peter805] oars counter balance - mojorizing - 09-13-2010 Peter, those are used mostly on drift boats when they use the longer oars. On 'toons, the oars balance fairly well and the oars are short. I've never seen anyone use c/b weights on kickboat oars But, I guess if you wanted to put some on you could have some machined. You also have to figure out how much they have to weigh for the oars you have. Inside diameter of the weight and the proper weight is what you'll need to make them work.
