You rig it with heavy wire to keep the sharp beaks of the squid from cutting you off and then drop it down. Some are glow in the dark for catching big squid at night or in very deep water. Cast Squid Jig, drop to bottom 2. Jig rigorously 2-3 times and hold 5-10 seconds. Retrieve slowly. 3. It's used for catching squid. The squid glams on to those spikes, and when you reel it in slow if there are squid around they are attracted to it and caught. [signature]
