How many inches were the cutthroat? Windriver [signature] Re: [EddieFish] Palisades Lakes - cpierce - 09-08-2010 Thanks, nice report! It certainly wasn't too long at all. I really enjoy posts with some detail and sidelights. They are much more interesting than "Went to Blah Blah Lake and caught two"!! I have looked at the trail to Pali ![]() [signature] Re: [EddieFish] Palisades Lakes - eagleflyfshr - 09-08-2010 Beautiful lake. Looks like a great 2 day back packing excursion. Any idea what the elevation gain is from trail head to lower lake and from lower lake to upper lake? I no longer have horses and must carry my tube on my back so these things matter - especially at my age! Thanks for the report. The upper lake is 6 1/2 to 7 miles from the trailhead. Most the elevation gain is the last 1/2 mile where you cross the creek up to the upper lake. Never been there this late in the year but the secret is spinners in summer months. [signature] |
