Request info on Blair Trail Reservoir or Glenns Ferry Area - Boise_Tarheel - 09-02-2010 Hey folks, I am headed to Glenns Ferry for Labor Day weekend and am looking for a spot to take my kids fishing. I see Blair Trail Reservoir listed as family fishing waters, but can't find any info on it. Is there a dock or good shore access where the kids can fish? Any other recommendations for that area would also be appreciated. The closest spot I know of that is good for kids is Bruneau Dunes, but hoping to find something right near TIC State Park. Thanks in advance! I don't know if it gets fished out or anything very much about it. I think it is fairly small. It is the Camella Vinyard Pond. You might ask about it when you are there. Watch for rattle snakes. I would fish the river this time of year. THe fish would be better quality, and I know it has water... Is there a good place for the kids to fish the river around there? The access to the river in the state park is pretty bad, lots of brush and reeds. I wish they would put in a dock or something. I have fished at the boat ramp just up the street but it is was very busy with boat traffic and never got any bites off the little dock. I have talked to the folks at the Winery about fishing in their pond, but they said I would have to wait until the golf course was empty, which at that time it wasn't. I'll ask again. Two Story House right next to the water tower by the river. The house at the bottom of the hill use to be a naturally heated swimming pool...Ahhh sulfur...those were the days...LOL But, I caught Cats, Sturgeon, Trout...now the bass would be new. [signature] |
