A belated Thanks to everyone that welcomed me on my first post..
I was able to get out Monday for a few hours.. Took the family Wife, Son and Daughter in the hopes of grabbin a few perch for some tacos... We were rewarded. Among the perch we hooked into several large suckers, a small mouth bass, and a couple chubs.
The hot ticket was using a small BB slip shot on size 8 with worm piece hooked cross ways.. Any other way, No Fish.. not even a bite.
All in all a good outing for 2+ hours. And really can Perch be beat for tacos???

We were fishing right of the docks. Slight cast with a rod twitch now and then.
As to the tacos.. Grilled perch, salsa, a bit of cabagge, on a corn tortilla.. Its great..

I love fish tacos! I spent last weekend out there with a youth group from my church. We did not catch many fish but really loaded up on the crawdads. some of the boys had a great time trying to get up the courage to eat them after we boiled them. I'll try to round up a photo.

Thanks for the info. Man I need some fish tacos. I always associate my perch with winter. I don't know why. I need to go get some and put them on ice.
