hello and brief info - bradthebutcher - 08-20-2010 Hi everyone, Sockeye are running up the fraser here in BC in droves. Put 8 in the freezer since last week and caught 2 after work yesterday on 8 casts bottom bouncing, not too bad. Mostly a trout fisherman except when the salmon are running, works out well since august sucks for trout. I have 10 acres in the Caribou across the street from waterfront on Bridge lake, 5 hrs north of Vancouver. Caught 11 kokanee in the early summer 2 to 3 lbs!! 2 lakers last year over 10 lbs and all on flyrods. Came to this site referred by a guy at bladesforums as I was looking for Surfcasting info for Mexico. We are going to a wedding in November and the area supposedly has good surfcasting. Any info and reasonably priced rod/reel suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I was a butcher for 11 years and am very new to the internet so no pics unless my wife helps out.
