New technology in Fish Finders - cpierce - 08-11-2010
Not exactly float tubing, but we have discussed fish finders at times so I thought I would tell you all of the new fish finder I saw in California.
A couple of weeks ago we went on a motorcycle trip into the Sierras and were riding along the Feather River Canyon (beautiful by the way!!). We stopped in an area and were looking down at some pools where some teens were fishing. Then we spotted this on kid out in the pool he was wearing a snorkel and mask and had a fishing pole in his hand! He was watching the fish and trying to put his lure right in front of them. I didn't see him catch anything, but he sure was trying!![laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh]
I regret to say that I did not get a picture of this, but I sure wish that I had! My camera battery was dead by the time we got to this particular stop, as it was later[inline "25July2010 024a.JPG"] in the day.

[cool][#0000ff]Must be a California thing. I used to do the same thing...both in fresh water and salt...when I lived in California. And there are quite a few guys around the country who go fishing with rod, reel and mask and fins. It is legal and wherever the water is clear enough it is fun to watch the fish react to your lure or bait.[/#0000ff]

now that is funny... especially the way you presented the story.. I would of figured that if he was in mask and fins he would of been using a spear gun of some sort... :-)
