It has been many years since I was there. We had a group of 6 and all rode down on our motorcycles and pitched tents.
Beautiful camp site...golf course off in the distance.
You can walk around the lake.
If am not mistaken, some HUGE Tiger Trout come out of there.
All I know is the trout fishing was steady all weekend.
I think you are going to have a blast.

If fishing isn't hot there, head down the road to 9 mile res which is literally about a mile further down the highway. Or head up the canyon (both six mile which is right above the lake and Mayfield canyon which is to the south have ponds that hold a bunch of little brookies), generally the fish aren't big up there but it can be fast and the views are worth it.
