I have a conference next week in Cda and was wondering if there are any areas within an hour drive to wet a fly...besides the lake.

Mapquest says you can get to St Maries in about an hour from CDA. You could fish the St Joe. I still haven't had the pleasure of fishing it, but it's supposed to be amazing.

Not sure how much time you got but you'll be a hour upstream of St. Maries before the fishing gets real good. But the Joe is awesome and worth the drive. It's a place everyone needs to fish at least once. In half that time you can be on the Coeur d' Alene river. I always liked the north fork best but that was many moons ago. Stop by Fins and Feathers and ask them:
