south fork helgramites - fishforanything - 07-11-2010

Took the kids to the south fork last night and did awesome. We went up to wolf flat and found some small stones in the grass. They were only about an inch long and to small to thread on a hook. Then we found some huge hegramites in the water by the bank and the fishing was killer. The said helgramites were about 3 nches long and huge as I have ever seen them. I put one on a hook and caught a fish on my first cast. the bug just slid up the line so I pulled it back down the line to the hook and cast out again and caught another fish with the same bug. Ended up catching 6 fish out of the same hole then some guys skunk sprayed dog came and started rolling around in the grass next to me and ny kids so we got out of the fast. Then we went down to Kelly Isalnd and treaded on some more helgramites and started killing it down there. Caught 8 more and 1 was a rainbow I kept to turn in and see if it is a money fish.

Anyone on here caught a money fish yet?
