Salmon Falls Creek Res. - idaagman - 06-20-2010 My friend and I fished Friday at Salmon Falls Creek Res. We started about 9:30 a.m. with all the boats getting ready for the Waleye tournament Sat. We started bottom bouncing for walleyes and caught a couple right off, each was over 15 inches. We have a standing rule not to keep anything under 14. We caught 16 fish in 5 hrs. 1 trout, 3 bass, 12 walleye. All but the trout, 2 bass, and one walleye were over 14 inches. We had a great day. The wind came up late in the afternoon and we called it quits. Best day I've had in a while. Thought you would like to know. I couldn't find any info on it. I am fishing Friday if the weather and wind are good, so I may know if it is this weekend. I don't fish when they are out there. Probably wouldn't be smart to enter a walleye tourny without knowing much on how to fish for them ( yet ), but might drive down for the dinner and check things out and see the reservoir for the 1st time. I think there's a Fish Tourney on American Falls that weekend, too. [signature]
