South Fork of the Salmon - hoolee99 - 06-15-2010
Just got back and well nothing good to report. The river is still high and slightly muddy, and they have the road tore up everywhere. Looked like they took out about every or added new corrugated pipes across the road in about every switchback. Drove down to where the road washed out and it is about 300 yards downstream from Buckhorn Bridge. No camping is allowed there either as it is used now for a turn around. I know it is early but there was only 4 other guys on the river other than our two. No fish had made it up as near and we could tell or we told. So it was a great drive and saw a ton of deer and elk, so that was great.
