Opening weekend of Salmon Fishing - gardenhackle - 06-14-2010
Anybody got any results or reports on the weekend opener on the upper Salmon? Other than the water at flood stage I haven't heard anybody say how the bite was.Thanks

OK, I know some one has been up there trying. What is the story? It is getting close to when I have planned to go and may have to change things if nothing is happening.

Fishing has been very slow, but there have been a few fish caught. The water is just to high to fish well, and it just can't seem to go down due to all the rain. It's looking like the weather is getting better, so the water should go down. I heard today that there are 20 fish in the Pahsimeroi hatchery, and 8 at the Sawtooth.

Better than nothing I guess. I may have to postpone my trip by a week it looks like. Guess I will wait and see what I hear from any one else.
