another question for you steel head junkies - kochanut - 06-08-2010
so we have decided to fish this comming fall for steelies. right now we are thinking the second week of october. i am not asking for any hot spots or target dates, was just curious if i could get a general concensus on dates and locations. we are going to the salmon, hes a junky just like you guys, i have only ever caught one steel head on a fly rod. we were thinking 4 to 5 days of fishing. here is my question... are the dates we are looking at prime to put us on some fish? or should i look at a different set of dates? thanks for your input!!

you should be able to get into some fish but it might be slow.

Reasonable dates. Who knows how the fish will behave though. It always seems to be a crap shoot for me.
