Willard Wipe out! 6-6-10 - Wildcat94 - 06-07-2010
Willard Wipe out for me today, but not for my little lady. The girlfriend ended up with 3 walleyes and 1 wiper, biggest walleye went 25" and was released, the other two were 12" (released) and a healthy 21"er which will be dinner for tomorrow. The wiper was small only about 14" Trolled from the n marina along the north dike to the light pole then along the south dike and back to the N marina, whole trolling trip took about 5 hrs. All fish caught in 15' ft of water and with cranks trolled around 2mph.
Weather was beautiful and the lake was packed with the water rats and their high speed machines. Fun times and good time spent with my girl! She was a trooper...

Sounds like ya got the boat goin and on the lake. Good job on the 25" eye and thanks for letting her go, they are far and few between in there right now. The more descent spawners we can keep in there the better the years to come will be! Hope the crank bite picks up for soon, i should!![cool]

Ya got the boat out for its maiden voyage and it ran well! Well my lady had the hot pole, I didn't eveb get a bite, she also missed several hites. Saw one boat trolling with planer boards and bottom bouncing and they had a thick stringer of walleyes and wipers. Most fish I marked were down deep in about 15ft of water. Also talked to a few other boaters that trolled and the walleye bite seemed to be on as most boats I talked to had only walleyes. I hope with the nice weather the wipers will turn on.

hey wildcat i was the guy you talked to at the end of the day on the boat ramp comparing walleye! good day of fishing we ended up with 5 walleye and 1-5 pound wiper. let the wiper go! the walleye will be served up tonight for the family! healthy looking walleye all around 18-20 inchers. all of ours came bottom bouncing even the big wiper . hope to see you on the water again.
