Mackay Res. - ross220 - 06-01-2010

I took the wife and kids to Mackay on sunday for the afternoon, we lucked out and got some really nice weather. I took my boat to a guy in Swan Valley and had him go over the motor this spring, so I was excited to get on the water and see how it ran. ( he did say that I might have to get a different pitch prop )The boat ran great, so I hope I am good for the summer.

We saw quite a few other boats fishing. I went to the northeast part of the lake and just started trolling some spinners tipped with a peice of worm. It wasn't really steady but we stayed in the fish and the kids had fun. We ended up catching 5 with one being just over a pound. We lost a few and missed a bunch trying to get the kids to the poles.

It was a pretty darn good afternoon with the family.

Glad your family had a good time. I have never fished Mackey in the summer. We sure had a good time there last winter.
