Lake Tahoe fishing - chizzle - 05-05-2010
I'm going to Lake Tahoe for a week and have decided to try my hand at fishing there. From what I've gathered, there's pretty much only rainbow trout, mackinaw (lake trout), salmon, and brown trout and that i should try cave rock and rubicon point for shore fishing. Anyone have any experience shore fishing up at lake tahoe?

I haven't fished Tahoe, but the Truckee River (Tahoe's outflow) is awesome. I have fly and spin fished the river from California stateline down into downtown Reno itself. It fishes similar to most Utah and Colorado rivers with the standard flies/lures working well.
