Took a trip to the honey hole today , I wasn't sure if anything would be this far up the river yet .
Just about every cast had me with either a northern or a sucker , one hit had me spooled out on a mystery fish that never showed a sign of hitting the surface . The monster just plowed downriver and kept going full throttle with the drag screaming all the way .
Not a bad day to be out at all , could have used some warmer weather .
Drift rigs with a crawler, nothing fancy .
