Lower Provo River 4-15 - Joeylc - 04-16-2010
I had the greatest fishing experience ever!!! I got off work about 5:30 am and decided to hit the Lower Provo River to practice my roll cast and maybe get lucky and hook a monster. Lol
It was pretty windy at first so i started the day untangling my line over and over again but once the wind died down i was able to put my flies to work and,
WOW!!! Let the fun begin. Strike after strike from around 9:30 til about 2:30 I caught 23 fish. 22 brown trout and 1 nice cutt. which slipped out of my hand while i was trying to get a pic, swam around my legs, and headed back out to deeper water snapping my line!
I know rookie mistake. Which reminds me Does anyone have any pointers on jumping over your line in knee deep water Lol
I never imagined fly fishing would be this much fun. Oh and fly of the day was a Bwo cripple i also caught several on the bwo and the adams all size 20.
What a great day! Can"t wait to do it again.
I have been trying to figure out how to download pics from my phone to the sight as soon as i do I'll post some.

That is sooooo cool. Maybe I will see you on the river someday. Sounds like you got it figured out and that is great! Allot of new comers go several trips before getting into fish on the Provo.

Oh and a THREAD furled leader went out today for ya. Put floatant on to float, or just hold it in the water for a minute to nymph.
