I heard a rumor about the State park passes. - FOD - 03-30-2010 I heard that the yearly state park passes are going to be like $125 after thursday of this week. ANybody else hear about this? If so I am going to by my '10 pass tomorrow to save $50 bucks. [signature] Re: [FOD] I heard a rumor about the State park passes. - Vivid-Dawn - 03-30-2010 [font "Courier New"][#000080][size 3]Wow... I'm glad I'm a gimp and get mine free. LOL Maybe you should wreck a leg, or somethin'. [:p] On the one hand, such a fee seems ridiculous. On the other hand, I heard that the DWR stuff is paid for with these fees, and not tax dollars (so non-sports people can't complain their money is being "wasted"). With the economy as it is, everything is going up... including the price of fun! Even with my free pass, I still gotta skrimp and scrounge for gas money to even get to a park! It's not even Memorial Day yet, and prices already nearly $3/gallon! I need to look into it a little bit more tomorrow. Now that you mention it I think I remember seeing that about little sahara a couple weeks ago. Thanks for the input. No change recommended for the Senior Adventure Pass. Day-Use Fees Coral Pink from $5 to $6; Red Fleet, Scofield, Starvation and Steinaker from $5 to $7; Goblin Valley from $6 to $7; Quail Creek and Bear Lake Marina from $7 to $8; Rockport and East Canyon from $7 to $9; Dead Horse Point and Sand Hollow from $7 to $10; Deer Creek and Willard Bay from $9 to $10; Jordan River OHV Center $10/rider to $15; Anasazi from $3/person to $4; and at Edge of the Cedars from $3 to $5. Fees for seniors would increase proportionally as they are based on one-half the fee, rounded to the next dollar. Reductions in pedestrian and bicyclist fees at Antelope Island and Dead Horse Point. Check Utah State Parks Web site to see about the State Parks pass., I don't believe that it has gone up. Unfortunately my current pass does not expire till June, but if it has gone up, I may buy a new one just to save the $50.00 also. Re: [troutgass] I heard a rumor about the State park passes. - FOD - 03-30-2010 From what your link says I believe the rumors I heard are wrong. I might just have to call the offices today. I will post what I know. [signature] Re: [FOD] I heard a rumor about the State park passes. - finhunter - 03-31-2010 I went to the Utah State Parks website and clicked on the "Get a Pass" photo. The price is $75 unless you are a senior. The senior price is $35. Anyone know? [signature] Re: [wiperhunter2] I heard a rumor about the State park passes. - tlspyder13 - 03-31-2010 There is a coupon for $5 off your pass on page 45 of this years fishing guide. [signature] Re: [wiperhunter2] I heard a rumor about the State park passes. - Catatafish - 04-08-2010 I purchased my yearly pass last week down at Sand Hollow, and got $5.00 off for showing them my fishing license. [signature] Re: [Catatafish] I heard a rumor about the State park passes. - wiperhunter2 - 04-08-2010 Last year when I got mine, they had me slow them my fishing license too but I still had to have the $5 off coupon. Maybe it just depends on where you get your pass[:/]. [signature] Re: [wiperhunter2] I heard a rumor about the State park passes. - FOD - 04-08-2010 I forgot to post this, but I bought my pass yesterday. It was still $75. Before I asked to buy the pass, I asked if they had any Utah fishing guides available. The lady gave me the guide and I ripped out the $5 coupon and paid my $70. No problem. This year they are yellow not blue, so they dont pass for a handy cap pass..lol [signature] Re: [FOD] I heard a rumor about the State park passes. - TigerTrout - 04-08-2010 Thanks for the $5 off hint. My pass expired and I've moved so the discount card didn't come in the mail. Had the coupon and license handy, only $70. Now to get out there and use it[ ![]() [signature] Re: [FOD] I heard a rumor about the State park passes. - crankem - 04-20-2010 FOD - I mean Kelly [ ![]() Those Utah state parks passes are just one more reason I'm living in Wyoming now. I recently bought our Wyo. state annual day use pass and annual camping passes. It came to under $90 dollars for "BOTH" of our trucks. With the annual state camping pass you don't have to pay any camping fees at any Wyo. state camp ground. If I remember correctly the 10 days I spent at Starvation last Sept. cost me $140 for camping and had to have the annual day use pass for my wifes truck. AHHHH buddy life is good here and a hell of alot less expensive to play than in Utah. Oh and by the way I have another $130 extra a month on my retirement check. "NOT" paying Utah state taxes [cool] Sure miss alot of my friends since the move but I damn sure don't miss Utah!!!!!!!!!!
