Lake Ray Roberts guide report - Puddle - 07-27-2003 We have been doing the same for most of the summer seems like. Black bass in the shallows on top waters early then as the sun gets up I go to soft plastics. The main lake pockets are not as productive on Pop-Rs and buzz baits as is the backs of the major creeks, however you can still pick up a few fish. The plastics I prefer are "Binko Worms" from bigbagbaits.com in watermelon \ candy and pearl. I Texas rig these on a 2/0 hook with a 1/8oz weight. Fish around any and all shore line cover. Sandies are picking up. They were difficult to find till this last week, and now are schooling up nicely around the dam. Be careful, I picked up a few surprises around and under the sandies. One a 7lb Carp, several nice Catfish, and a Black Bass over 8lbs. You guys, who like to use the light stuff, will need to be on your toes, or you will get your heart broken. Till next time, Good Fishing and GOD Bless www.puddlesfish.com 817-563-6674 hm 817-729-6051 cell [signature] Re: [Puddle] Lake Ray Roberts guide report - lonehunter - 07-29-2003 light lining is cool for me ! like you said , be on your toes !
