Camping spot around Orofino - chipmunksniper - 03-05-2010
I'm planning a weekend trip next weekend to do some steelheading on the clearwater and was wondering if there are any spots to camp around Orofino. I don't need anything fancy just a spot to set up a tent and not have to worry about being on private property. First day we'll be on the south fork so i'm pretty sure i can find a gravel turnout that will work. anyways, thanks in advance for your help and i will post a report when i get back!

theres pullouts for tents & trailers between harpster and orifino Plus on the norhfork you might be able to pitch a tent at a trailer park Have fun it should be good.

Right before you get to the north fork you can just camp at ahsahka boat ramp. Theres plenty of camp sites to pitch a tent or back in your camp trailer.
