OPPOSE HB 141! - TS30 - 02-11-2010
Representative Kay McKiff's bill HB 141 that will completely overturn the Supreme Court's decision in Conatser v. Johnson is slated to be in the House Natural Resources Committee on Friday at 2 PM. We need to come out in NUMBERS and oppose this bill. We also need to contact each of the members of the natural resources committee and ask them to oppose this bill.
-McKiff's bill does not recognize the easement for the public that was clearly stated by a Unanimous Supreme Court.
-This bill was not vetted in public. It was kept secret except for a select few all along.
-It makes no attempt to balance the rights of private property owners and the public
-It is no attempt at a compromise in these competing rights
