flathead catfish on rod and reel - katfish - 02-05-2010 I fish for trophy flathead with rod and reel. I will post a few pix from last years trips. I had a 3 pound channel cat eat a goldfish and then get eaten by a flathead. I will continue fishing for these big fish and hopefully get some big ones next year. It is winter here and I want to go FISHING BAAAD! Your pictures are AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!! You have the skills on those flatheads. We have flat heads in the snake river here in Idaho. I caught one last year that was about 4 to 5 pounds. About the size of your BAIT!! So do you have any tips for an Idaho guy looking to hook into more flat heads? Keep the pictures coming, I know they are killing me but I like seeing fish like that.
