Hey there guys,
I'm no purist C&R guy but I was bothered today by a local news story showing a big 800 pound Mako strung up on the dock and being told that the fish was caught in a Mako tournament and brought back to the dock even though the anglers knew the fish would not count in the weigh-in.
I don't fish sharks so I really don't feel any loss for the fishery but you shark fisherman might gulp a little.
I understand some of the larger sharks only have a few pups each year and have to be older to reproduce.
Poor little Mako.
