Winnemucca and fish - albinotrout - 02-02-2010
Ok here it is. Currently I am in Winnemucca every saturday due to work. I usually have a couple of free hours during the day and I am wondering how is the fishing in the Humboldt? What is there and suggestions on baits to use. I was thinking of the area near Bridge street. If any other areas, what would you suggest? Thanks for your help!!!

I dunno if there would be anything in the Humbolt
right in Winnemucca but to the west there is Rye Patch Reservoir that used to have a dandy perch fishery. You might catch something out of the river right below the dam.

Rye patch would probably be good, but I am only in Winnemucca for a few hours each week (right now Saturdays) without any transportation. So I am pretty much stuck to the Humboldt.[crazy]
