any regualr posters on here a drift boat owner? dont want to count my chickens before they hatch but looking for someone to maybe tag along with (costs split of course) if they were willing.

Not only that, but its an old-fashioned big tub that's LAB FRIENDLY! 80's vintage Slide-Rite. No frills, and I wouldn't want to guide out of it regularly, but it carries a load if needed, and is still a little "sporty" with a light day-trip load. (Me, you, your pup, and ONE of mine)

How are you on the oars??[sly] I'll usually only cast to rising fish, and a few hours of casting is usually enough for me in a day unless they're really looking up. Maybe a few miles of blind chuckin' though.

i was a rafting guide on the american river in cali.... i ran both the boats and the oar boat, im a decent oars man. being where your up at, i was looking for a sections only, that way its not to long of a day for either of us? again im willing to split what ever costs are necessary, and if there is a launching fee i am willing to pay for it also. ill camp at little hole that night and do a few miles of walk fishing the next day before i head back down here, and yea, when it warms up lol

That would work. The only costs involved in fishing the Green are the over-priced shuttles, but we could run our own. Last time I paid for A it was about $45!! That's just way too much for that shuttle. The B section is around $100, but at least you save a lot of time on that one. Its more worth it to me than the $45 A section. That stretch just isn't that good!
If we hit the right weekend, overnights camping on B are a good way to go too, and the dogs love it! I usually just put in at Little Hole, have a short, slow float for a couple miles to camp, and hang out there for the afternoon/evening/morning before moving on down. Fish a little, swim the dogs, build the fire, etc. May-September is the only time I do it because days are longer, nights aren't too cold, and I usually have 3-day weekends by then.
I might be ready for an A float as soon as March. Whenever we can get out of this sub-freezing crap, and that's going to be a while. Sometimes BWO's start by late March, but on cloudier days.
The next-closest floatable river to me is the Green in Wyoming, and then the Snake. Not much for drift boats in these parts.

I dont got a drift boat but I got a 21 foot bass boat i use on the snake river LoL look me up this summer Im from utah and I head up the snake once a week or so.
