People are ice fishing Willow and catching small planter trout.
I don't know how deep it is but would guess no more than 12' to 15'.

Something tells me you are having winter fishing withdrawals.

Who ME ARGH!!!!!!! I am really starting to hate the Bigger rivers as they are ALWAYS packed and my favorite fishing spot for Carp is half froze.
I am telling you, Ice fishing is looking better and better.
Actually, it would be fun to see how well I could do with flies.

Yeah, this place is filling up fast and you can't get away from people anymore. The Provo looks like a Jedi training ground even on weekdays. I have never been much for plucking fish through the ice because I came here from Oklahoma where ice fishing lasts one or two months. I think it's more of a social event for us fish junkies that need a fix. I think you'll find that flies work great through the ice the same as they work when most other lures fail. You should try for some gills at UL. They're getting big and fighting scrappy.

Flies work pretty good ice fishing, I have used them as a trailer of my jig and have caught quite a few trout and perch on it. Nothing very big, but I am thinking of trying it at the berry.

I have used beadheads and chrominids.....I am thinkin of a muddler or streamer...but not sure on how much action they would have in a vertical presentation.

If I hit the D up in ID, I will probably try a fly and a split shot...

I think if you tried it, you'd find a cure for the winter duldrums!

Ahhhh, much better. Did get out this morning on the Middle. Not as many people as I expected.
Found several great stretches all to my self and had a great morning!
