Ririe 12 -31-09 - maghunter - 12-31-2009
Made it up to Ririe this morning. Ice was around 4 " , a couple guys out there on four wheelers [crazy]. So the ice must be pretty strong. A couple schools came by right away but they didn't stay for more than 30 seconds. About 10 they started hanging around long enough to pull some out. Ended up with our limits and throwing some small guys back. The fish are big and healthy, most are around 12" with a couple 14+". They didn't seem to picky about the bait, caught some on corn, worms, meal worms and some with no bait. The schools were at 10' with some at 25' and a few at 45'. Looks like its going to be a great ice fishing season at Ririe. [

I went to ririe today also with two other bft members and all I can say is holy kokanee!

My son and I had a great day ourselves. Dito on the kokes; we did very well. Also iced two trout; one was near 16' and one perch 7' .

I'm going to try to hit that place soon! Thanks for the report-I've gotta catch some kokes through the ice!! Did well all summer but have yet to get into them through the frozen H2O!!
