Lake Ray Roberts guide report - Puddle - 07-13-2003
Still catching 10 to 15 fish up to 5 to 6lbs. on half-day trips. Buzz Baits in white or white/chartreuse, early. Later in the day I am throwing a Bummer Worm from bigbagbaits.com in either Watermelon Candy, or Pearl. I am still fishing in and around the grass, but they seem to prefer the beds with deep water close by.
Last week I went on a night trip and had almost the same result, with the same baits. I did fish different grass beds however.
Sand Bass are hard to come by right now, however the Crappie are doing well on the corps brush piles.
