Utah Lake Wetlands Preserve - walleyebob - 12-04-2009
I have a question for anyone that knows. Is the Utah Lake Wetlands Preserve off limits, or can I use the area for dog training? I just want a place for my dog to run and point pheasants. I won't be carrying any bullets, just a shotgun so my dog thinks we are hunting.The beer creek area looks like it should hold lots of pheasants, and its close to home. Anybody know if its public land?

Powell Slough in the Orem area I believe is off-limits to both firearms and dogs when it is not hunting season, but that is due to it being a WMA.
I'm not sure where Beer Creek area is, but if you can find public land adjacent to the lake that is not a WMA, my guess is you're just fine.
