What a beautiful day to be on the lake!! emoCool Plenty of sunshine and hardly any wind. A lot different from last Friday. Great to be fishing anytime emoAngler Got on the water at 4pm and tried a few points. There were fish there and bait too but whatever they were they were hugging the bottom and not eating - I threw bucktail jigs, Deep diving cranks, spoons, worms, jigs - maybe just some big cats under those shad? emoScratch Any way Jack and I thought to try for some crappie but only caught bluegill. emoDoh Needed DK and Hal to show us how to do that I guess. So we headed into some sloughs and happened on some bass bustin. It was about 5:30 by then but the next hour was fun and nonstop. Had a few good ones. Didnt get to shoot pics of some of the better ones because had to keep going while the action was hot!!! Heres a couple we caught before we left. The action seemed to die down around 6:30 so we headed home. Lots of fun. Lots of bait in those coves. Used a Sammy, Chug Bug, Pop R and float N fly. emoFish emoFish emoDance emoUSA
