m17glock, chicamauga, crappie ( at least thats what we were after }, 9/13/2009, glockjr - FishNews - 09-14-2009 got on the water around 7am surface temp low 70's air temp 65 at grasshopper creek. everything looked good for a great day of crappie catching, the weather was good and even the sonular tables had a peak in the excellent range around 9am.

the crappie apparently didnt read the sonular tables today emoBang all we put in the boat were 2 shorties . we fished shallow,we fished deep, we fished main lake and back water docks, we fished bluffs and bridges
we used every color of BG shad i have in the box (10) tail light and no tail light . we used ringer stingers, tube jigs , crawly looking things and flying looking things (bottom of the box somewhere) 1/32 and 1/16 jigs .

the highlight of the day was meeting Hal and talking to him for a bit before heading off to try a few more spots.

Hal do you think my boy might be a little on the puny side for a 12yo?

oh i did have one drumking moment were i thought the day might be turning around. while retying another rod i had set mine down with the lure about an inch out of the water and a 8" spot tried to take my rod away
emoEek

still it was a beautiful day to be on the water not even a single drop of sweat, no bugs , and not to cold .... perfect day .. well except for the catching part
|
