Condie? - Leaky33 - 09-12-2009 Any recent Condie reports" PM me if you prefer. [ ![]() ![]() [signature] Re: [Leaky33] Condie? - gstott - 09-12-2009 I went there two weeks ago and it was pretty slow. I caught this one chunky fish not far from the boat launch, and missed a couple of little guys, but pretty dead. I wasted two and a half hours there, and then went to my usual lake and hammered them. 110 fish from 4-8:30, the last 1 1/2 hours were non stop popper action. Every cast brought a blowup. Definitely spend some time over there during your trip. [signature] Re: [gstott] Condie? - Leaky33 - 09-12-2009 Thanks Bud. I'm assuming the top water action is in the evening. I'm not an evening person, but maybe I should get tough and go to bed late, huh? [frown] Is it possible that mid day top water might work? [crazy] This old fart needs his sleep. [laugh] [signature] Re: [gstott] Condie? - Leaky33 - 09-12-2009 I just spent 2 hrs. looking all over for my "poppers". [frown] I haven't seen em for over 20 yrs. now but thought I could find em, no sweatsince I could picture them as clear as a bell in my mind Well, ------ no luck. [mad] Well, I did find some very small floating minnow lures and a real small green popper with rubber legs and sparkle tail that is obviously made for a fly rod. Do you think any of that would work? Reminds me, is a fly rod the best and do you cast on top of weed patches by the shore or out in the lake?? Am going to send you a pm since I may be going real soon to "our" spot. [ ![]() [signature] Re: [Leaky33] Condie? - gstott - 09-13-2009 I sent you a PM about poppers and more. [signature] Re: [gstott] Condie? - Trout_hunter - 09-14-2009 Would you be kind enough to share your "usual Lake" to an avid catch and release fly fisherman. I say that because I am no threat to any fish population. I like to fish near malad. I had some friends that went to Devil's creek recently and caught 1 fish between the Three of them. Any news on Devil's Creek? Thanks for you time and information. Warren [signature] Re: [Trout_hunter] Condie? - cpierce - 09-15-2009 I second that! I would love a PM. I flyfish, and release everything except Bluegills, perch, crappie, and catfish (if I could catch them!). Love those little bluegill fillets!! [signature] Re: [cpierce] Condie? - curt69 - 09-15-2009 Try Twin Lakes , two friends were there last week and filled a 48 quart cooler in four hour with Perch and Blue Gill . They just kept the bigger ones . Curt G. [signature] Re: [curt69] Condie? - cpierce - 09-16-2009 I have caught bass, trout, bluegill, and crappie at Twin, but I've never caught a single perch. Where do they hide?? [signature] Re: [cpierce] Condie? - curt69 - 09-16-2009 Out In the middle of the north lake in 15 to 17 feet of water . Curt G. [signature] |
