Gorton Pond - gdn443 - 08-24-2009 With Fluke season over, we headed back to sweet water and tried out Gorton seeing as we haven't for a few years. NO skiers or jets due to the 6mph limit. I remembered that a crank worked well here and as soon as I tied one on the first fish of the day at 1 1/2lbs. Couldn't coax anything from the edges or weed beds so back to the deep middle [ all of 6ft.] and started catching again. White cranks where the only thing that produced except two on spinnerbait. 7 bass to 2lbs,three picks, and even 2 pumkin seeds and 2 perch. White was the color of the day for sure. [signature] |
