Paul Reservoir - ReelLady - 08-20-2009

Anyone have experience fishing this little body of water? IDF&G website shows rainbows there. I have family camping up there this weekend and thought I might drown a worm up there with them, but have never been to this area.

Re: [ReelLady] Paul Reservoir - CREED - 08-20-2009

I was up there last weekend and caught quite a few fish. I was using a worm and some yellow and green powerbait and they were loving it. I have fished it in years past and I always seem to do the best on worms, but spinners will work sometimes too. The lake has cutthroats and they fought really good for their size. They were also hitting smaller grasshopper flies in the evening but they were really skidish with the flies. Let me know if you have any other questions,

Good luck.

Thanks for the info--finally found someone here at work who also told me a bit about it. Now I'm in the market for a float tube as he thinks that's the best way to fish it.

I assume it gets stocked regulary since it is one of the family fishing waters. If you need info on tubing check out the BFT tubing forum under the fishing forums. You will learn more about tubes then you ever wanted to know. Windriver

A float tube would probably work really well but I caught plenty of fish from the bank, so I think either way you can catch something
