Gator, Chick, Crappie, 8/10/09, Solo - FishNews - 08-11-2009 I put in at HB at daylight and fished until 12:00. Fish didn't turn on until about 10 or 10:30 but I managed to catch a limit of keepers. I couldn't find any on my usual places so I headed up the river and fished some places I'd never been before, was nice to find some that way.<br /><br />Fished water 10 or 11 ft deep and fish were near the bottom but some only down about 5 ft deep. Most caught on blue/white bg shad but some on crappie ringers white/dipped in chartruce. Water temp over 84 degrees and it was really hot out there after about 10:30 but that's when they started hitting good, actually I didn't notice much flow of water at all until about then. All fish caught under and around docks off the river. A great day to be on the water.<br /> emoDance emoUSA
