12 3/4 inch perch - vashe - 08-09-2009
Well caught this awhile back last month so figure I share it. It was almost 13 inches caught on a medium shinner.

Hmm that is the first time i've heard the term "Toad" for a fish. What exactly does that mean?[

It is pretty common for people here in Utah to call large fish toads. Some folks call them hogs, some call them pigs. Different strokes for different folks.[

We don't have but a few perch here in West Illinois in the Mississippi River backwaters. I got lucky through the ice and got a 12" one. It was MUCH skinnier than this beauty you caught.
