family vacation - rbpeach21 - 07-27-2009
Hello all, visiting Idaho from North Carolina, looking for a small pond, lake to take my kids (4 boys, ages 10, 7,7,7,) trout fishing and let them experience it. We are looking to camp and fish for a couple of days. We are in the Burley area, but would like to get up in the mountains, maybe around Stanley... Any help would be appreciated!

The Salmon River should be fishing great at that time. Salmon eggs work well. Took some kids on the river last year at this time, and they limited out. They had very limited skills!! Mike

If your going to Stanley your set. Camping Fishing hiking sites its a true gem. Lots of places to camp and fish all around it.

I would say head to the Yankee Fork. Plenty of little ponds for the kids, river for dad to fish, ghost town, gold dredge, wild life, camping, hiking, gold panning, a little of every thing.
