Northern Buck questions - fsh4fun05 - 07-22-2009
I've always hunted SE for buck, it never occurred to me that I wouldn't draw a tag as I've been successful for so many years...until now. My second choice was Northern so I have a N tag and don't have the slightest clue where to start 'prospecting'. The problem is that I don't want to hunt in a sea of orange dots, I'd rather go off the beaten path even if it means I don't see many deer. My buddy keeps telling me to go up Farmington? canyon but I imagine that would packed full of hunters looking for that easy buck by road hunting, not really my deal for buck hunting.
Anywho, I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction. I'm not looking for your secret spot and my mouth is shut if you do decide to help me. I would even be willing to pay $ or trade for custom poured plastics of your choice to hunt on private land if it's reasonable. Send me a pm, I really need some help.
