hl&s, Nickajack CFF, Bass, 7/18/2009, Trackerd2 - FishNews - 07-21-2009 We got to our first spot and had it to ourselves. The day started off promising with a hard hit on a buzzbait but it turned out 14" emoAngry . We fished the area for about an hour with Trackerd2 wearing them out on a trap but only one measured. I kept throwing everything the fish didn't want. emoEek <br /><br />We hit another spot and only caught a couple slicks so it was on to the next. I kept right on throwing what I thought the fish should bite while Trackerd2 kept throwing his trap. He landed our best fish there. I was getting the hang of netting pretty good by then. emoRedface He tried to get me to tie one of his magic lures on so I could contribute to the livewell but I'd have no part of that. The fish were gonna start smashing my offering any minute now. emoHoppingmad <br /><br />We caught some more slicks and thought we, well OK he, had caught another keeper but it went 14 7/8 inches on the gold rule.<br /><br />We spent the last hour chunking and winding in a frenzy but it wasn't meant for us to have but two keepers.<br /><br />We had such a good time fishing that not getting our limit didn't bother us at all. At least I don't think he's sore at me for not catching a keeper. I can at least pat myself on the back for putting him on fish and netting them. emoBig <br /><br />Thanks to all, I know it takes time and effort to organize and run these tournaments and this one was great. emoThanks emoThanks
