<br /> Jerry allowed me to man the backseat yesterday for CFF #6. I was expecting to totally kill them after the previous weekend Jerry had on the Nick, but what a difference a week makes! <br /> We decided to forgo the early topwater bite and went straight to the spot Jerry fished last Saturday. Jerry caught several early on, including one that measured 14 9/10 inches. We figured no big deal. Jerry caught our solid keeper on a spinnerbait and after that we could only manage small fish the rest of the day. <br /> Without a doubt, the toughest day I have had on the lake in a long time. At least it was a beautiful summer day that felt like an early fall day. We were lucky enough to win big fish, so at least we did not go home empty handed.<br />
