JDK, Nickajack-CFF Event then Riverpark with Son, Bass, 7/18, Mallerdecho - FishNews - 07-19-2009
Bill shoot me a PM late last night and asked if I wanted to fish with him so at the last moment I gathered all my gear and hit the bed.. Met Bill at Rand R and off we headed.. We started off fishing grsss humps with deep water near by and Bill had a fish on the second cast of the day.. He landed our 1st keeper shortly there after and about 4 slicks later for Bill i got on the board with a fat spot to make keeper # 2.. Bill got keeper #3 then moved to some deeper ledges and humps and caught more fish but no size.. Finished the day where we started hoping for a kicker. Never happened at 1148 we packed up and hauled a$$ back for the weigh in never thinking we would finish one out of the money and 8th overall we were just glad to have a limit.. All keepers were caught on senkos in the grass.. Bill gave me a lesson on using them.. and now i got another weapon in the tacklebox.. Was great to meet Bill and fish with a real nice guy and a solid fisherman.. thanks for the ride Bill i enjoyed it..

So got home and took the son to Riverpark, plan was to catch some shad them some smallies.. Well after a hour we finally were able to chase some bait down inside one of the turbines and deep but couldnt buy a bite on live bait so we ran down past the bend and fished laydowns and caught a few fish with one nice 17" maybe 2 lb 5 oz just a guess didnt weigh it( to bad we didnt have this one in the AM would have got us some money).. Mostly rode around all afternoon as I promised the son i would teach him how to start the boat and operate it.. He did pretty good still has some learning to do Long day on 2 1/2 hours sleep.. fishing the Grants tourney with andrew in the AM so off to get some zzzzz

thanks to all who ran the tourney was nice to meet some more new faces and see some old ones..

Moc.Bend Largemouthhttp://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341/JDK1878/7-18.jpg
