Island Park - curt69 - 07-16-2009
Just got back from 12 days in Island Park . Fishing and the weather were good and bad . It rained every day but one . Yesterday I was trying to out run a lightning storm and drove my boat into a hail storm , Ouch . I found the best fishing on IP at South Goose Island in 17' of water . Henry's was very spotty . One day we caught 8 the next two . Curt G.

Wow, 12 days of fishing Island Park area is good no matter what the weather.
What were you using. Lures, bait, flies, all of the above?

Bait , nightcrawlers and marshmellow . Setting still to many kids in the boat to troll . Our best day was at IP 12 fish . My granddaughter 6 caught a 4 pounder on a 26" Barbie Pole . What a kick . Curt G.

Watching the kids pull in a big one on the barbie pole is awesome. Been there done that and hope to see it many more times. Of couse since I have all boys its the Spiderman pole.
