Boulder Mtns - orvis1 - 07-13-2009
I have been doing research and planning this trip for a couple of months and it finally happened a 4-day fishing trip to the Boulder Mountains! My goal was to catch a 20” tiger trout, a 15” brook trout, and a 15 cutthroat trout, I fell short by 2 inches on the tiger trout but managed to accomplish the other two goals. We had two conditions that were detrimental to the fishing wind every day and a full moon but we did manage to get into some fish. We based out of Torey and made are way to various parts of the mountain from there I had the redneck trout cruiser strapped to the front of my four-wheeler. We also saw turkey, fox, and many deer with velvet on the antlers. I am already trying to figure out when I can get back and I just left. Thanks to everyone that helped me out with advice and suggestions the trip would not have been as great without you. I guess I will let the pictures do the talking:

Sounds n looks like my kinda trip. I have never been to the boulders and have been wanting to to make a trip with my father to do just what you did. Fish and ATV. I would be ever so grateful for any info about where you went and what you fished with.
