Logan river anyone ?? - fishing4thehog - 07-07-2009
My son has invited me to a fishing trip on the logan river.. I guess we will be fishing just out of sardine canyon by the flying J.. I have never fished that area before.. Any one fished it lately.. Any suggestions on what flys to take ??

I've never fished it that far down. The closest I came was near the golf course at the park there. It was February, so I don't know what's producing now, but at the time midges, free living caddis larva and small dark mayfly nymphs got me some 8-12" browns. I'd be curious to hear how you guys do down in that section since I've never fished it.

Usually only fished that area at night or late evening- Fished steamers. There are some large trout in there. An unbelievable amount of bats at night. Watch private property- hope he has an in , asks or stays in the river.
