Colors of Soft Plastics - MetalHead234 - 06-25-2009 I am a new fisherman with out any sort of mentor. My questions to BFT are: Which colours of soft plastics are good to start out with? and What are the conditions in which each should be used? Thanks BFT.[bobhappy] [signature] Re: [MetalHead234] Colors of Soft Plastics - fsh4fun05 - 06-25-2009 I've caught bass across the country with watermelon and green pumpkin plastics. There are so many variations of conditions that I can't even imagine to name them all but these colors are a good start. Typically dark days and murky water=dark colored baits and just the opposite for clear water where I use smoke/pearl colors. Of course, no 'standard' is going to tell a bass when or what to bite. Tell us more about where you are fishing and we'll do the best we can to help. I love any color with a chartruese tail i think it gets their attention. And it works for dirty or clear water. Good Luck! [signature] |
