Anybody doing anything in the Preston area? - me_and_myboy - 06-21-2009
Just wondering if the fishing down that way has picked up any. My buddy and I were down on Glendale last weekend and the fishing was SLOW. I can't wait to get into some of the really big crappie that I keep hearing about.

Twin Lakes is picking up . A friend brought home 60 a little bigger than his hand . Said he thru back as many as he kept . Curt G.

Wow if he did that then it really has picked up since just last tuesday and wed when it was very slow picking on anything at all other than a few very small gills and a perch here and there. Great, but now with the hot weather moving in by end of week, upper 80's, things should be hot hot hot and i dont mean weather.

sounds like its suppose to warm up next week so it shoudl pick up. but its still been cold and rainy.

The family is in Florida for the month so I decided to celebrate Father's Day on the water. Fishing was slow at first but I did manage to catch a bass and a gill before I figured out what they really wanted. After getting my stuff together, I managed to catch a bunch of big gills and one crappie. The fishing was steady once I realized they were out in the deeper water. All in all, it was a wonderful day.
Thanks Curt for pointing me in that direction!
Also, I would like to say thanks to the County Sheriff's Deputy who was patrolling the lake. He was extremely courteous; it was his advice that got me on the fish!
