Caught it surfcasting - no one around knew what it was.

Any idea?

You have a sea robin. Some of the old timers say the meat in the head tastes like lobster. Usaully you will catch a bunch as they school.

Right o', that's a searobin. They make good live bait when the cards are down. Not many anglers will say that. [Wink]

Kings, cobia, etc.... They'll eat'em up.

(mahi like them too, and they look real nice on a kite rig)

crazy isht when you catch a fish that looks like a dinosaur and honks like a goose huh[Smile] !! Oh and as a bonus there is an anticoagulant in it's spines so if it sticks ya you will bleed like it's going out of fashion [shocked]
