we put in at cave lake around 5pm and fished til 8.the water temp was in the low 80s with a slight breeze most of the evening.we ended up boating around 20 bass with 8 keepers and the biggest around 4.5lbs.the bigger fish were caught in 4-6 feet of water on xr50s and brushhogs along the edge of a flat.we had to crawl the xr50s along the bottom to get bit,and it was a light bite than,just felt like you were hung in the grass.caught several smaller bass on the spook in less than 2 foot of water.was a great evening to be on the water,with the cloud cover and breeze.hope we can get back on them tomarrow in the dogfight.
